We are sure you will agree that 2013 was a great year for the classic car market as far as increases in prices were concerned for certain sectors of the marketplace. So, what classic cars could do well in 2014?
Whilst nobody has a crystal ball, some “experts’ have suggested the following cars are worthy of serious consideration: –
Aston Martin DB6 – This make and model doesn’t need any introduction. This iconic classic car is presently felt to be undervalued especially when compared with the more expensive Aston Martin DB5. During 2014, the price gap between both models may narrow.
Porsche 996 GT3 – Again the Porsche is a well-known manufacturer. This is not only a superb classic car to race but it also has the potential to prove to be a very good investment in 2014.
Lamborghini Miura P400 – If you have around half a million pounds to invest, this could be the one for you. The Lamborghini is a great looking vehicle with bags of power.
Ferrari 512 BB Berlinetta Boxer – You are no doubt aware that a Ferrari 250 GTO sold for a world record $52 million in 2013. Ok, so the Ferrari 512BB Berlinetta Boxer may not be in that league realising anything between £150,000 to £250,000 but they have the potential to significantly increase in value in 2014.
This post does of course come with a “health warning’. There is absolutely no way that you are guaranteed to make a profit when investing in the likes of classic cars no matter what the “experts” have to say. Potentially, the value could go down as well as up. Therefore, the decision as to whether to purchase one of the above classic cars must be yours.
If you are a serious investor in classic cars then we hope that you have a very successful year.
