Not to be beaten by the coronavirus pandemic, H and H Auctioneers is to hold a live online auction of classic cars, bikes and automobilia on the 27th May 2020. You can bid either online or over the phone. The auctioneer is trying to provide more photos of the cars than normal that can be viewed on their website and, in some cases, videos of some of the vehicles.
We thought we would mention some of the classic cars that are available to bid for but a full list can be seen by visiting the handh.co.uk website.
How about a vintage car such as a 1939 Austin Big Seven Sixlight Saloon that has had quite a lot of tender loving care. It has an estimated sale price of £4,000 to £5,000. It has a rebuilt engine and the leather seats have been recoloured to name but just a few things that have been restored.
Why not take a look at a lovely, restored 1969 Volkswagen Beetle that has an estimated sale price of £8,000 to £10,000. The engine has been rebuilt. It has new floor pans. The boot and bonnet are from an earlier 1967 model. This classic car will certainly catch the eye of many a passer by.
Those of you classic car enthusiasts who love open-topped sports cars may like to peruse a yellow 1979 MG Midget 1500 that is said to have only around 24,000 miles on the clock and has had one previous owner. It has an estimated sale price of £4,000 to £5,000. It has a factory hardtop.
If you have a larger budget then why not spend some time looking over a 1965 Ford Lotus Cortina. This car has an estimated sale price of £50,000 to £60,000. It is said to have had a full restoration to a high standard. A “matching numbers” car.
Peruse a four-door 1968 Daimler V8-250 saloon car that has a V8 engine. Back in 2014, it had been subject to a restoration costing £22,500. It has an estimated sale price of £16,000 to £18,000. It is said to have done in the region of 42,000 miles.
If you fancy something a little different then what about a 1927 Bean Flatbed Truck that has an estimated sale price of £13,000 to £15,000. It was restored in 1989. It has appeared in a BBC drama called “The Village”.
