On Friday 11th December and Saturday 12th December 2020, Mathewsons is to auction numerous classic vehicles that will no doubt attract the attention of a number of classic car enthusiasts. Full details of the available vehicles can be found on their website but we highlight just some of them below.
A 1939 Jaguar SS is being offered for sale with an estimated price of £25,000 to £27,000. Apparently this classic saloon car has been in the same family ownership since 1970 and that is a rare thing to find these days. It certainly looks appealing and perhaps could even be considered by a wedding car rental business as a useful addition to its fleet of vehicles. It is being auctioned on the 11th December.
Take a look at a 1937 Alvis “Alwil Continental Tourer” with Regency Red coachwork, leather interior and wire wheels. You will need a bigger bank balance if you want to purchase this classic soft top as it has an estimated sale price of between £50,000 to £55,000. It is said to have only 67,000 miles on the clock. This great looking car will certainly catch the eye of many a passer by. It is being auctioned on 11th December.
It is lovely to see a classic 1957 Austin A40 being offered for sale with a guide price of £4,500 meaning that it may appeal to those classic car enthusiasts with a limited budget. It has a 1200cc engine. If you take a look on the website of the auctioneers, it appears to be a fantastic looking car. It is being auctioned on 11th December.
Cast your eyes over a 1969 Triumph Herald 13/60 soft topped car that has a 1296cc engine and is said to have recently been restored. It has a guide price of £5,000 so will no doubt appeal to those with a smaller budget. It is being auctioned on 11th December.
