Thousands of visitors turned up at the London Classic Car Show earlier this year helping make it a resounding success. Exhibitors obviously felt that it was worthwhile attending as 98% of them have already agreed to have a presence at next year’s event that is to take place from the 18th to 21st February 2016 at ExCeL London.
Apparently, next years show is expected to be 50% bigger than this year’s event so, we are sure that all you classic car enthusiasts will be pleased to hear this. This year’s show was the first one and some of the exhibitors and classic car specialists that were present were the likes of Maserati, Aston Martin, Citroen, Hexagon Classics and Eagle E-types. There will be some new well-known names appearing at next year’s event including Twisted Automotive and Cheshire Classic Cars.
This year’s London Classic Car Show saw a number of cars being sold for large sums of money. For instance, an E-type jaguar and three Aston Martin’s were each sold for £500,000 plus a Ferrari went for £1,500,000. There were dozens of cars on display on The Grand Avenue that ran from one end of the event hall to the other.
It is a little surprising that it has taken so many years for this particular show to be organised in London bearing in mind it is the capital city of our country but let us hope that it continues long into the future and remains as an annual event. With a 50% increase in the size of the one being planned for 2016, it certainly appears that the show has a good future.
Why not help support it by getting along to the event on one or more of the day’s next year. You will no doubt enjoy the day and, who knows, may end up purchasing your dream classic car.
