If you are considering purchasing a classic car then you might like to give some thought to attending the Honourable Artillery Company in the City Of London from 5.30pm on 5th June 2024 when Iconic Auctioneers will be holding an auction of such vehicles. You can see a full list of vehicles being offered for sale on the auctioneer’s website under the heading of London Concours Lifestyle sale 2024 but below we highlight just a very small number of classic cars that may interest some of you.
Now you will need a very large bank balance to purchase this 1964 Aston Martin DB5 Sports Saloon as it has a guide price of £500,000 to £600,000. Its bodywork is in Rothesay Red and it has done a mere 3,368 miles since it was fully restored around 10 years ago. It is said to be in wonderful condition. It has a 4.2 litre engine. Definitely worth casting your eyes over.
If you have a slightly lower budget then why not take a look at a 1962 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster 4.2 Litre Eagle. This has a guide price of £200,000 to £250,000. This delightful open topped sports car has only 4,007 miles on the clock. Its coachwork is in Gunmetal Grey. This is quite a rare classic car as only around 2,000 were manufactured. It has been beautifully restored. If you happen to be a Jaguar enthusiast then this may well appeal to you.
Those of you who are admirers of the Aston Martin may also like to peruse a 1970 Aston Martin DB6 Mk2 Volante to Vantage Specification. However, as with the previously mentioned Aston Martin, you will need a bob or two to be able to afford this wonderful looking classic open topped sports car as it has a guide price of £550,000 to £650,000. You may find it of interest to read that a mere 38 of these second generation DG6 Volantes were built making this a very rare model. Interestingly, one of these particular models was presented to the then Queen who gave it to her son Prince Charles for his 21st birthday. Its bodywork is in Old English White and it has only done 54,000 miles. It even has an electric hood.
