If you are thinking of buying your first classic car or are looking to add to your portfolio of vintage vehicles then you may wish to consider getting along to Historics Auctioneers next auction. It is set to take place on the 2nd March 2024 at Ascot Racecourse starting at 9.30am. We are sure that you will agree this is a wonderful venue to hold such an event.
You can find a full list of classic cars that are to be offered for sale on the day on the auctioneer’s website but below we highlight just a few of them to hopefully whet your appetite.
How about perusing a 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL open topped sports car that would undoubtedly catch the eye of many a passer-by should you decide to take it out for a jaunt on a delightful summer’s afternoon. It has an estimated sale price of between £128,000 to £148,000. It is said to have had a mere 3 owners and has been in the same family ownership for 30 years. It has just 29,700 miles on the clock making it a very low mileage for its age. It sounds like it is quite rare with only 562 such right hand drive cars produced. Its bodywork is in Fire Engine Red. It appears a significant amount has been spent over the years on restoring this classic car/ Hopefully it will attract a great deal of attention at the auction.
If you have a smaller budget then you might like to take a look at a 1959 Borgward Isabella Coupe that is being offered for sale with an estimated price of between £18,000 to £24,000. It was rebuilt in 2000. It has a mere 61,090 miles on the clock making it a low mileage for its age. Its bodywork is an appealing two tone. If you look at the images on the auctioneer’s website you will see that the inside has a somewhat retro – style to it.
Those of you who are attracted to the Jaguar may like to take a look at a 1968 Jaguar 340 to Fast Road Specification (3.8 litre). It has an estimated sale price of between £28,000 to £38,000. It has 93,500 miles on the clock so has certainly been well used since it came off the production line all those years ago. A few years ago the current vendor spent in the region of £40,000 in modernizing this classic saloon car to make it more suitable to driving fast in it.
