How about combining a weekend away in a delightful Cotswold village with a visit to a classic car show? Well, that is exactly what you can do this coming Saturday by visiting Broadway for their annual Vintage and Classic Car show.
This will be the second time this annual event has taken place and it promises to have on display some beautiful vehicles. The show takes place between midday and 4 pm on Saturday 8th June 2013.
There will be cars from both the UK and overseas that were manufactured on or prior to 1939 on display.
You will also be able to enjoy the sound of the Avonbank Brass Band who will be providing suitable music from that particular period from 1 pm to 3 pm. In addition, you can also browse numerous stalls that sell classic and vintage car memorabilia.
So far, there are 29 entries that have confirmed that they will be present at the classic car show with the event kindly being sponsored by Broadway Parish Council.
You can cast your eyes over a Morris Oxford four seater tourer, a Rolls Royce 20HP, a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost dating back to 1923, an Alvis TG 12/50 four seater tourer, a Rolls Royce Coupe Cabriolet, a Sunbeam 14 HP tourer plus a number of Austins and MGs to name but a few.
For those of you that are also steam railway enthusiasts you may wish to make the short car journey to travel on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway. The classic car show is supporting the rebuilding of the railway station at Broadway from where, in due course, people will be able to travel from to enjoy a nostalgic steam train ride to Cheltenham Racecourse.
Broadway is ideally located in the Cotswolds so can easily be got to from many parts of the UK. It promises to be another interesting annual classic car event that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
