Nowadays, you do not see many bubble cars on our roads and it is rare for such a classic vehicle to come up for sale. Well, you now have the opportunity to become the proud owner of one as it is being offered for sale at an H and H auction that takes place at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford on the 17th October 2018.
The vehicle in question is no less than a 1960 BMW Isetta 300. It is a 4-wheel drive bubble car that has only done 11,888 miles. Since being manufactured it has had 4 owners. For around 40 years from 1972 it was not driven and it has now been fully restored. It has a 298 cc engine. It has an estimated sale price of £14,000 to £16,000.
There are many other classic cars being offered for sale at the above auction details of which can be found on the website of H and H. Below we list some of them: –
1967 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 – This delightful car has an estimated sale price of £8,000 to £10,000. This car only had the own owner until 2016. It has a very low mileage for a car of its age – 29,000 miles. It has a 1,300 cc engine and a cream and blue coloured upholstery.
1962 Austin-Healey 3000 MK11 – This well-known classic open topped sports car has an estimated sale price of £18,000 to £22,000. It has been in the same ownership for an awful long time – from 1969. It too has a low mileage for its age with only 38,457 on the clock. The bodywork is in a delightful red colour.
1981 MG B LE Roadster – This delightful classic two-seater sports car has an estimated sale price of £8,000 to £12,000. It is able to get from 0 to 60mph in around 14 seconds and has a top speed of 105 mph so it is a nippy classic car. It has just over 50,000 miles on the clock and this one is said to be in its original state.
1974 Caterham Seven – The Caterham really needs little introduction. This one has an estimated sale price of £16,000 to £20,000. It comes equipped with a nippy Alfa Romeo twin-cam 2,000 cc engine and is renowned for its quick acceleration. This is no doubt a car that an enthusiast would enjoy taking around a race track.
1962 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Coupe – This is a rare model with only 1,799 right hand ones ever built. It has an estimated sale price of £60,000 to £80,000. It has been owned by the same person since 2001. Its bodywork is in British Racing Green. When built it was capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just over 7 seconds and had a top speed of 150 mph.
So, if you are a classic car enthusiast, why not get along to the auction and see if you can pick up the car of your dreams.
