If you are a classic car enthusiast and are considering purchasing a vintage vehicle then there are lots of places that you can buy such a car. There are numerous auction houses one of which is Brightwells that holds regular events. One of their auctions opens for bidding on the 17th June 2023 at 10am and closes on the 21st June 2023 at 7.01pm.
You can find out details of the classic vehicles to be auctioned on their website but we thought that we would mention a few of the cars coming up for auction here. As is often the case, there is a wide range of prices to cater for people of varying budgets.
Those of you who like Jaguars may wish to cast your eyes over a 1968 Daimler Sovereign 420 that has an estimated sale price of between £4,000 to £6,000. It has a 4,235cc engine. It has been in the same family all the time having been bought by John Campbell-Jones the FI driver when newly built. It has been in storage for over 20 years so will need recommissioning.
If you are looking for something quite a bit older then why not peruse a 1914 Brasier 9hp Tourer that has an estimated sale price of between £9,000 to £12,000. It has a 1,550cc engine. Apparently, this is quite a rare vehicle. In the 1980s it was restored. This is a four-seater tourer. It may have been utilized during the First World War by the French army so it sounds like it may have a history. It is said to be in good working order. It will no doubt catch the eye of many people it passes by.
A lovely yellow 1978 MGB GT has no reserve but may attract quite a bit of attention by lovers of this make and model. It is said to have had quite a bit of money spent on it in the last few years. There are numerous invoices evidencing works carried out.
A white 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL (R107) has an estimated sale price of between £16,000 to £18,000. It has a 3,499cc engine that was originally capable of 197bhp. It is said to have 138,523 miles on the clock. At some point it was owned by none other than Jay Kay the singer/songwriter. It has a 4 speed manual gearbox that is a rarity.
