Classic car enthusiasts may be interested to hear that the Bonhams’ 7th annual auction of classic cars is to take place at the Western-Kierland Resort and Spa in Arizona on the 17th January 2019. You can see details of many of the wonderful vehicles that are to be offered for sale on Bonhams website but we thought we would mention some of the cars that are available to bid for.
There is a 1951 Maserati A6G/2000 Spider with coachwork by Carrozzeria Frua that is being offered for sale with an estimated price of £2,200, 000 to £2,700,000. It is one of only three of these particular vehicles with such features and coachwork meaning that it very rare. This open top classic sports car has a 1,954cc 6-cylinder engine producing 110 bhp. It is left hand drive. If you look on Bonhams website you will see that it has a lovely history. It has been beautifully restored.
How about a 1963 Porsche 356B Carrera 2 GS Cabriolet with coachwork by Reutter with an estimated price of £880,000 to £1,000,000. This classic open topped sports car has a 1,966cc 4-cylinder engine producing 130 bhp. It has been in the same ownership for 30 years. Only 64 Carrera 2 Cabriolets were built making it a rare find which no doubt has some bearing on the price. It has been well maintained and has a leather interior and red coachwork
Take a look at a 1964 Porsche 904 GTS green racing car that has an estimated sale price of £1,100,000 to £1,300,000. It has a 1,991cc 6-cyclinder engine producing 175 bhp. It was previously owned by Robert Redford the A listed actor. It is extremely rare with this no doubt being a factor in its price.
