Those of you who are interested in classic cars would probably welcome the opportunity the find a number of classic cars in a barn. Well that has happened in the Netherlands. In fact, so large is the collection that the vehicles were stored in 2 barns.
There are around 230 cars in the collection that appear to have been well looked after by the person concerned. It is estimated that the vehicles could be worth many millions of pounds. They are to be sold at auction sometime next month.
Apparently, the owner of the classic cars is 82 years of age and used to own a motor accessories business. He is said to be a bit of a recluse and went into a care home in 2022.
The vehicles were collected over a period of around 40 years.
The classic cars are believed to be in good condition. They are to be auctioned from the 19th May 2023. It sounds like the vehicles could attract a great deal of interest.
Obviously, it is not practically possible to mention what makes and models the classic car enthusiast has amassed over a considerable number of years. There are numerous classic cars for sale so if you feel like a change of vintage vehicle then why not consider taking a few days holiday in the Netherlands.
Amongst the collection of classic cars is a 1953 Mercedes Benz W188 300S Roadster that is said to be worth in the region of £440,000 – a considerable sum of money. There is also a 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider America that is said to have a value exceeding £600,000.
There will no doubt be a great deal of interest in this collection with the added appeal of it being a barn find. So, if you fancy attending the auction why not make a holiday of it as well as considering bidding for one or more vehicles.
